COERR Mae Sot Organized Trainings on the 3 R's in Waste Management

   In January 2022, three trainings on waste management were organized.

   All trainings aimed at equipping the trainees with knowledge on waste separation based on the 3R approach i.e., reduce, reuse and recycle. This had raised awareness about community waste that affected the environment and enabled the trainees to adopt the knowledge and skills to apply in waste management as well as to disseminate the knowledge and lessons learned to neighbors and community.

   The first training session was called “Waste Management by 3R Technique Training for Trainer, conducted online through zoom application, during January 24-25, 2022 at Ban Nupo Temporary Shelter, Umphang District of Tak Province, for 16 participants of 11 females and 5 males.

   The next training was ”At-Source Waste Management training” organized during January 27-28, 2022, at COERR Agricultural Center in Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter, Phop Phra District of Tak Province. 60 adult community members including 32 females and 28 males attended such training.

   The last training was “Environmental Education for Youths”, organized on January 31, 2022, at COERR Agricultural Center in Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter. 20 youths, of 12 females and 8 males participated in the training and learned about waste management skill, especially waste separation.
